Footpath to Festival in Wanstead Village: From Icecream Vans to Rock Bands

  • Epping, England, CM16 4HW United Kingdom (map)

Within Greater London, so can easily bail out if got a night out! This is a £10 hike only event (different to the others which include train tickets)
This ends in Winstead village where there is the annual festival and a band on Christ church green, with two central line stations minutes down the road.

Join us for a scenic hike through the historic Epping Forest, via high beavh ghost (a story I’ll tell on route) past a few ice cream stopss, beautiful Wanstead Park, ending at Wanstead station or the cuckfields pub. This route takes you through ancient woodlands, serene lakes, and charming open spaces, offering a refreshing escape from the city. Wanstead Park was once home to Wanstead House, where Queen Elizabeth I is believed to have stayed. The hike finishes in Wanstead Village, a vibrant area on the Central Line, just 20 minutes from central London.
