WHAT TO EXPECT

AAA hosted this event in 2023, 2024 and 2025, when it proved extremely popular. We have now hosted over 1,000 events since our establishment in 2008. Our passion for the outdoors and great food has ensured we always delivered on these key aspects while maintaining good value.

DIFFICULTY RATING

This is principally a relaxing hiking holiday. Please ensure that you come equipped to hike in sunny weather. We provide a complete kit list to help you prepare to get the most out of the holiday.

The hikes are designed for all levels of hiking ability, from novice to experienced. Costa Brava has amazing coastal hiking scenery for all abilities, providing plenty of options for everyone, including Moderate and Energetic hikes. There is also the opportunity to take more relaxed hikes.

One question we are always asked is, “What determines the classification for the hike?" We have a guide to our hiking classification, which can be found here.

WEATHER

In September, the Costa Brava experiences mild weather with an average daily maximum of 25°C (77°F) and an average daily minimum of 16°C (60°F). The sea temperature is also pleasant, averaging from 22°C (71°F) to 24°C (75°F), making it a great time to swim. Expect around six hours of sunshine daily, with a 60% chance of a sunny day. It's a good idea to bring a light jacket or jumper for the cooler evenings, as the temperature can drop.
