Day One - Arrival
16:30 We will meet you at Girona Airport and transport you to your hotel.
19:00 Buffet dinner, formal welcome and questions.
Day Two - Gentle local hikes and beach time.

Choose from a selection of moderate hikes from the hotel doorstep, including refreshing coastal walks with sea breezes, as well as scenic routes through wooded landscapes and charming villages. There will, of course, be plenty of time to relax by the sea and enjoy a range of activities, including snorkelling and kayaking.
19:00 Dinner
Day Three - Tossa de Mar and Glass Bottom Boat Trip.

Discover the enchanting medieval city of Tossa de Mar, where history meets natural beauty. Fringed by picturesque coves, the coastline offers several opportunities for snorkelling in clear waters, while scenic trails wind their way through pine forests, revealing stunning views.
There will also be the option to enjoy a glass-bottom boat excursion, offering a unique glimpse into the vibrant underwater world of this part of the Mediterranean.
Adding to its unique charm, Tossa de Mar made history in 1989 as the first place in the world to declare itself an anti-bullfighting city—a testament to its progressive spirit and cultural identity.

Day Four - Tamariu Fishing Village and Swimming

Journey along the breathtaking coastline to the charming village of Tamariu, a hidden gem rich in seaside allure. Embrace its laid-back atmosphere as you enjoy leisurely walks through the village and along its picturesque surroundings.
There will also be plenty of time to unwind, swim in the refreshing Mediterranean waters, and take in the beauty at your own pace, with walking options thoughtfully tailored to the weather and guests’ preferences.

Day Five - Chill Out and Departure Day

Enjoy relaxed sightseeing in and around Calella de Palafrugell, with time for one last round of Tapas before departing for the airport.

Hotel Garbí is in one of the most beautiful places on the Costa Brava, the delightful town of Calella de Palafrugell, just five minutes from the beaches. Nearby, you will find beautiful places to visit, villages with rich cultural and gastronomic traditions and a whole host of outdoor activities.
FOOD
Buffet breakfasts are served daily at the hotel, along with two hosted dinners, leaving plenty of opportunity to enjoy lunches and the remaining dinners at your leisure in local cafés and restaurants, savouring the flavours of the region.

DIFFICULTY RATING
This is principally a relaxing hiking holiday. Please ensure that you come equipped to hike in sunny weather. We provide a complete kit list to help you prepare to get the most out of the holiday.
The hikes are designed for all levels of hiking ability, from novice to experienced. Costa Brava has amazing coastal hiking scenery for all abilities, providing plenty of options for everyone, including Moderate and Energetic hikes. There is also the opportunity to take more relaxed hikes.

WEATHER
In September, the Costa Brava experiences mild weather with an average daily maximum of 25°C (77°F) and an average daily minimum of 16°C (60°F). The sea temperature is also pleasant, averaging from 22°C (71°F) to 24°C (75°F), making it a great time to swim. Expect around six hours of sunshine daily, with a 60% chance of a sunny day. It's a good idea to bring a light jacket or jumper for the cooler evenings, as the temperature can drop.

The key items to remember for this hiking holiday are suitable hiking footwear (shoes rather than boots) and clothing that are suitable for beach activities. In addition to your bathing costume and a waterproof jacket, should it rain.
